This is designed to download a subset of the ITIS data based upon your specifications. The entire data set is also available for download.
Select from the options below to indicate the Kingdom, additional data and the format for your download results. Click on the Continue button to move to the next page.
Additional selections on the next page will allow you to further customize the results. After the Submit button on the second page is clicked, the download file will be generated. The resulting file will contain portions of one or more of the ITIS database tables in one or more plain text files. It will also contain a minimal guide document for interpreting the data files. You can find a description of the download file format on the Download File Format page. The resulting download file will be in a compressed format which can be opened by most file compression utilities.
Please note: ITIS data continues to be improved. You may wish to check this website to see if your data remains current.
Important: Due to the increasing size of our data set, some downloads will take too long to complete, causing the server to time out. If you see the message "The connection was reset," you will need to change your parameters to reduce the size of the resulting data set. You may also download the entire data set and use your own database to generate the subset.
