(2004) note: Within the Central Pacific Territories Hemidactylus frenatus is considered native to the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam where it may have been introduced before recorded history; however, recent introductions have been documented for the Caroline Islands, Marshall Islands, Palau Islands, American Samoa, and other Pacific islands associated with the US
