  Comment: According to Eschmeyer (personal communication, June 2004, and online Catalog of Fishes, 2004), there is an unresolved matter concerning the identification of the type of the genus Arctozenus, so it is premature to force it into synonymy based only upon the current placement of what has been considered the type species
