  Comment: Steiginger and Tangen (1997) note that Corythodinium "is recognized by Balech (1988a) and Sournia, 1986; but Dodge and Saunders (1985a) synomized it with Oxytoxum. Untill plate analyses are completed with dissected specimens, these genera should be kept separate"
