  Comment: Moure's Bee Catalog lists Trigona rhumbleri as Incertae sedis and states: "Trigona rhumbleri Friese, H. (1900). Neue arten der Bienengattungen Melipona Ill. Und Trigona Jur. Természetr. Füz. 23: 381-394 [389] (The type-series is certainly composed. Camargo (1980:37) and Pedro & Camargo (2003) examined specimens of Partamona testacea, P. vicina and P. mourei identified as Trigona rhumbleri by Friese and Ducke, however, types specimens were not studied. Schwarz, 1938: 475, 476, considered Trigona rhumbleri Friese, partim, specimens from Pará, as junior synonym of Partamona testacea (Klug))"
