  Comment: Remane (1927) transferred Chaetonotus longicaudatus Tatem, 1867 (TSN 58121) to his new genus Polymerurus Remane, 1927 (TSN 58108) despite the fact that he considered it to be insufficiently described. Schwank (1990) considers it a possible synonym of Polymerurus rhomboides (Stokes, 1887) (TSN 58132)
