  Comment: Although Martin & Davis (2001) treat the family Tanapseudidae as valid, the Heard et al. website (2003) places the type in the family Kalliapseudidae, where they recognize the subfamily Tanapseudinae. ITIS has not yet addressed subfamilies in the Tanaidacea, so the family is simply placed in synonymy for the moment
