 Comments

Comment: Paul Williams ("Bombus - bumblebees of the world" website, 12/2006) says "this species has been introduced into Mexico and into California, which is outside its native range (Thorpe, 2003)", but also (pers. comm., 12/2006) notes that "its precise current status there needs to be confirmed"
Ascher, J. S. and J. Pickering. (2018) "All records from west of the Rocky Mountains are of escapees from commercial greenhouses. Bombus impatiens is currently being spread far outside its current range by the commercial greenhouse industry. Claims that this species cannot establish itself in areas with warm winters are clearly false as it is well known to occur in subtropical Miami, Florida."
