 Comments

Comment: Comments: Pocock (1934b) included Paradoxurus tytlerii. P. lanigera, the "imperfect, no doubt immature skin, without skull (B.M. no. 43.1.12.103)" provisionally recognized as separate by Pocock (1941a:416) does not contain diagnostic features that would definitively align the specimen with Paguma (Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951). Synonyms allocated according to Pocock (1934b) and Ellerman and Morrison-Scott (1951)
Status: CITES - Appendix III (India); IUCN - Lower Risk (lc)
