 Comments

Comment: This species was originally described as Naidium bilongata by Chen (1944, p. 5); Liang (1964) suggested the transfer of this taxon to Allodero, a suggestion later apparently accepted (without comment) by Brinkhurst (1971, p. 363); Harman (1977) criticized this decision, declaring the taxon incertae sedis; Timm and Popchenko (1978) then assigned this taxon to Bratislavia; soon after, Harman and Loden (1979) rediscovered this taxon in Florida, providing an updated description and summarizing its nomenclatural history; Brinkhurst and Wetzel (1984) provided additional 'historical' perspective on the nomenclatural and systematic changes associated with this taxon
