  Comment: Comments: Revision of this genus is needed; see Poole (1979) and Briscoe et al. (1982). Kitchener and Sanson (1978) considered this genus as probably congeneric with Peradorcas, though McKenna and Bell (1997) continued to recognize Peradorcas as a genus. Species-groups (Briscoe et al., 1982; Eldredge and Close, 1997) are: P. brachyotis group (brachyotis, burbidgei and concinna), P. xanthopus group (xanthopus, rothschildi and persephone), and P. lateralis/penicillata group, containing the remainder
