 Comments

Comment: CITES: Appendix II listed under Cactaceae, adopted at the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (Doha, 2010)
Berger (1929) validly published the combination Stenocactus coptonogonus in the index (p.346) by using the asterix (* symbol, per p.337) to indicate it was a new name, while referring to p.244, despite having treated the genus Stenocactus as a subgenus of Echinocactus in the text & p.viii (K. Gandhi, pers. comm., May 2013). See also Doweld & Greuter (2001:879-885) in Taxon 50(3)
