  Comment: Remane (1927) transferred Chaetonotus macracanthus Lauterborn, 1894 (TSN 58123) to his new genus Polymerurus Remane, 1927 (TSN 58108) despite the fact that he considered it to be insufficiently described. Schwank (1990) considers it a juvenile of Polymerurus nodicaudus (Voigt, 1901) (TSN 58127)
