  Comment: Provancher's Le Naturaliste Canadien vol. 8 (1876) has been cited as the source of the name "Baetis quebecensis" attributed to Provancher, supposedly found on p. 267. However, the work does not contain that name. It does contain the names Baetis canadensis Walker (pp. 266-267) and Cloe quebecensis nov. sp. (p. 267). In a later volume (1878), Provancher refers to these latter names (referring them to new names and combinations), but not to "Baetis quebecensis." Thus, it appears that this may be an error, rather than a homonym or even a nominal taxon
