  Comment: The listing of the earlier name Rhadinorhynchus alosae (Hermann, 1782) as a synonym of the later name Rhadinorhynchus pristis (Rudolphi, 1802) is not explained by Amin in Crompton and Nickol, 1985  
    Tentatively retained in genus [Rhadinorhynchus] even though the patterns of trunk spination or proboscis armaure, and egg dimensions remain unknown (Amin, Heckmann, and Ha, 2011)
