  Comment: Note that according to Bertolani, Marley and Nelson (1999), there has been considerable confusion regarding the identity of specimens once considered as examples of augusti Murray. Such specimens may in fact be referrable "to augusti, megalonyx, kathmanae, or other species," so care must be taken (e.g., in determining range based on historical records)
