 Comments

Comment: Status unclear. Eschmeyer (online Catalog of Fishes, 2005) concludes only "Synonym of Setarches." Poss (1999) lists Scorpaenopsella armata Fowler 1938 as valid, with a foot note stating "Known from a single specimen taken at Sombero Island, between Balayan Bay and Verde Island Passage in the Philippines"
