  Comment: Snake family group name Charinidae Gray, 1849 is a senior homonym of arachnid (Ampblypygi) names family Charinidae Quintero, 1986 (TSN 690758) and superfamily Charinoidea Quintero, 1986 (TSN 744677); the issue does not yet appear to have been addressed (10/2014) in the arachnologist community  
    Placed in superfamily Booidea Gray, 1825 by Pyron et al. (2014). ITIS is currently evaluating superfamilies within the Alethinophidia
