 Comments

Comment: Trigonostominae Graff, 1905 would have been a junior homonym to a gastropod subfamily Trigonostominae Cossmann 1895, but it has been argued that the gastropod subfamily, which is not currently in use, must corrected to Trigonostomatinae. A prior homonymy with an insect subtribe name Trigonostomina Ohaus 1912 was resolved by the ICZN ruling that the stem of the insect name is the full genus name, Trigonostomus Burmeister 1844 (that spelling accepted by ICZN to resolve generic homonymy, as well). See ICZN Opinion 2229 (June 2009)
