  Comment: Attems (1953:142, https://biodiversitylibrary.org/page/57231179 ) declared the type species Megalacrus obscuratus. Although the species' taxonomic status doesn't seem to have been reviewed in the literature, Bonato et al. (2016) place it in Mecistocephalus, so the genus is synonymized accordingly
