 Comments

Comment: Penaeus duorarum cameronensis Rossignol, 1962, originally described as a variety, is unavailable under ICZN Art. 15.2: 'A new name published after 1960 expressly as the name of a 'variety' or 'form' is deemed to be infrasubspecific and as such is not regulated by the Code and is excluded from its provisions.' Such a name can be made available by a later work (prior to 1999) that uses it as a species or subspecies if that work provides a description OR if it cites one (including via bibliographic citation). Unless that was done before 1967, it would still be a junior synonym of Penaeus notialis Pérez Farfante, 1967
