  Comment: Rightmyer (in litt., 03-Jun-2008) has examined the type of Epeolus rugosus Cockerell 1949, and asserts that "it really does belong in Epeolus"  
    Triepeolus rugosus Mitchell 1962 would be a junior secondary homonym of Epeolus rugosus Cockerell 1949 if they were treated as congeneric in Triepeolus, but Rightymer (in litt., 03-Jun-2008) indicates they each belong in their original genus
