  Comment: Opler (1999) remarks that this pest species was "previously reported incorrectly as a different species, Erionota thrax". However, Erionota thrax is the species reported as introduced to Hawaii in the Hawaiian Arthropod Checklist, 4th Edition (Nishida, 2002)
