  Comment: Storr (1981) originally spelled the name, correctly, as Rhamphotyphlops micromma. The species epithet is treated as a noun in apposition (Greek for 'small eye'; per ICZN Art. 31.2.1-2, see Shea 2015) and is not to be 'corrected' for gender according to the genera it is placed in
