  Comment: CITES: Added to Appendix III by Madagascar, added in accordance with CITES Article XVI, paragraph 1, effective December 22, 2011  
    The name Wallich listed (a nomen nudum, 1832) was repeated by A. de Candolle (also a nomen nudum, 1844), and was validly published in 1873 by Hiern, but it was then illegitimate, being a later homonym of Diospyros nigricans Dalz. (1852). It is uncertain what the accepted name for the Wallich-based names would be, or what the current placement of the Dallzell name should be
