 Comments

Comment: While the author of Dendoica dominica albilora and its subsequent combinations is sometimes cited as Ridgway & Baird, 1873, the correct citation is Ridgway, 1873. Though Baird may have suggested the name, he did not publish anything that meets the criteria for a species description. Ridgway's acknowledgement of Baird's input, while signified in the authority line in the original publication, holds no standing as the publishing author of the name (Alan Peterson, pers. comm. 2 July 2014)
