 Comments

Comment: Although Lyctus parvulus Casey, 1885 is a junior homonym of Lyctus parvulus Paykull, 1800, they have not been treated as congeneric since at least 1899, so the name Lyctus kosciuszkoi Borowski and Wegrzynowicz, 2007 was an unecessary replacement (ICZN Art. 23.9.5). Lyctus parvulus Casey should continue to be used for this species until and unless reversed by a ruling of the commission (Ivie, Manuscript 2011)
