  Comment: CITES: Removed from Appendix II, adopted at the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (Gigiri, 2000)  
    An entry 'Culcita charlii ?: #1 II Dicksoniaceae' appeared on p.265 of the CITES checklist published in 1998, but it was subsequently removed from the CITES checklists without comment. No evidence of any such name has so far been found in the published literature or the major online indexes (as of 11/2012), and it is uncertain what was intended, or what it might correspond to; therefore, for the moment, ITIS is leaving this name in synonymy under the genus Culcita, pending further information on this likely error
