  Comment: ICZN Opinion 1532 (1989) suppresses Quatrefage's (1865) name Sipunculus javanensis, and Saiz Salinas (1984:141+) notes that the syntypes correspond to two species, Phascolosoma pacificum Keferstein 1866, and P. noduliferum Stimpson 1855. Stephen & Edmonds (1972:339) misspelled the epithet as "javensis," as did Cutler (1994:385) (though he spelled it correctly on pp. 181-182)
