  Comment: Originally given as 'Acanthurus Ruppelii', as noted by Kullander (2016). However, Bennett explicitly refers to 'Dr. Rüppell' in the paragraph immediately preceding (contra Kullander!), so it is clear that the single-L is to be taken as an inadvertent error that is to be corrected (per ICZN Art. 32.5.1), yielding the 'correct original spelling' ruppellii. Note that this is technically not a homonym of Swainson's name, 'Acanthurus (Ctenodon) Rüppelii' (corrected to rueppellii), given the one-letter difference (see also Art. 58, where -u- and -ue- are not listed as equivalent)
