 Comments

Comment: Baird (1858) said Linnaeus' Certhia pinus Linnaeus, 1766, the Pine Warbler, was actually referent to the Blue-winged Warbler, now referred to as Vermivora cyanoptera Olson & Reveal, 2009, and argued that the Pine Warbler that Wilson (1811) referred to was not an attempt to restrict pinus Linnaeus 1766 to the Pine Warbler, but a new description. See comments on Certhia pinus Linnaeus, 1766 (TSN 950109)
