"Girardichthys" is not listed as a published generic name by Eschmeyer, and apparently is derived from a misspelling or Lapsus in Shiino (1976), where an entry on page 97 for "Girardichthys falcatus Eigenmann" (TSN 165959) combines the original and current genera for falcatus (Glaridichthys + Girardinus)
