  Comment: 'Syrnium albitarse Bonaparte, 1850 must be spelt Strix albitarsis or Ciccaba albitarsis, not Strix albitarsus or C. albitarsus. The adjectival name albitaris (-is, -e is formed from the Latin adjective albus (-a, -um) and the stem of the latinized Greek noun [tarsos; foot], to which was added the Latin adjetival suffix -is (-is, -e) [...]. To change albitarse to albitarsus would turn a variable adjective into an invariable noun.' (David and Gosselin, 2002)
