  Comment: Dr. Eugen Kempf (email, Jan. 2009) has established that the correct authorship for Bardiidae (and other coordinated family-group names based on Bairdia) is Sars 1887 (sometimes, incorrectly, given as 1888). Sars' work from 1865/1866 did not establish this family name, and used Cypridae (now Cyprididae) instead. Original description is cited for Bairdiidae
