    Although the name Tesnusocarididae has been WIDELY attributed to Brooks (1955) that author in that work did not establish any new names above the rank of genus. It is not yet clear who, if anyone, made that family-group name available. For the moment, ITIS is removing authorship from this name and lowering the credibility rating on it
