  Comment: While the Flora of China (2011) treats Carmona microphylla (Lam.) G. Don as accepted rather than C. retusa (Vahl) Masam., Vahl and Lamarck refer to the same citation of Plukenet, and Vahl has priority (1791 vs. 1792); so C. retusa should be adopted (C. Feuillet, personal communitcation, 17-Nov-2011)
