  Comment: Status: IUCN 2003 and IUCN/SSC Action Plan (2001) - Lower Risk (nt) as Eptesicus brunneus  
    Mandatory correction for gender concordance; Neoromicia has at times been treated as masculine but, as it derives from the feminine name Romicia, is correctly treated as feminine (Riccucci and Lanza, 2008)
