  Comment: This taxon was originally described as Tubifex harmani by Loden (1979). Brinkhurst (1986) placed this taxon in the genus Tasserkidrilus Holmquist, 1985 without augmentation (further discussion). Timm (1989) rejected this placement in his revision of the genus Tasserkidrilus. Kathman and Brinkhurst (1998) maintained its placement in Tasserkidrilus. Timm (2006) amended the genus Varichaetadrilus to now include T. harmani as Varichaetadrilus harmani (Loden, 1979) new combination
