  Comment: Pteroptus hipposideros Kolenati, 1856, currently considered a junior synonym of Paraperiglischrus rhinolophinus (C. L. Koch, 1841), is apparently a senior secondary homonym of Paraperiglischrus hipposideros Baker and Delfinado, 1964. If these are congeneric and both are available, the junior name cannot be used as the valid/correct name of that species, in which case the name Paraperiglischrus analis Pan and Teng, 1973 (currently a junior synonym of the Baker & Delfinado name) may take priority
