  Comment: Synonymized according to the placement of the genus Asterope Philippi 1849, the apparent type genus (which itself appears to be an unresolved junior homonym). If the type genus is a junior homonym then Asteropidae is unavailable under Article 39 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (1999), so the junior name Cylindroleberididae Müller 1906 could have priority.
