  Comment: Per Bertrand et al. (2015), subgenus Labidostomma (Cornutella) Feider and Vasiliu, 1969 is an objective/homotypic junior synonym of subgenus Labidostomma (Nicoletiella) Fielder and Vasily, 1969. Both are based on the type species Nicoletia cornutum Canestrini and Fanzago, 1877. Therefore the junior name cannot be used as valid/accepted, the type species must be placed in the senior subgenus, and the remaining 2 species (L. ezoensis and L. multisetosa) are temporarily placed under the full genus. Bertrand et al. (ibid) note that this could be resolved via a petition to the ICZN, or through someone coining a completely new name to replace it (not a 'substitute' or 'replacement name', which would have the same type as the replaced name), with type species chosen from among the 3 included species. Neither has been done yet, as of 2013, apparently
