  Comment: It is not clear where and how the nominal taxon now known as Penthaleus major (Dugès) was made available, as Beron (2022:144) indicates that Dugès' (1834: 53) use of 'Tétranyque majeur' was a nomen nudum, and no other Dugès citations listed in Beron (2022) appear to make the name available. Dugès' (1834: 57) uses that same string and provides an indication (ICZN Art. 12.2), but it is not clear that this would make it available either, due to the use of only a French vernacular for the genus (at least), although see also Art.
