  Comment: On October 3, 1842, Guérin-Méneville submitted the text to accompany Iconographie plates that were released in 45 livraisons. The Acad. Sci. Paris approved it, provided it was first indexed. The report remained on open loan in 1843. When indexing was complete in 1844 the title page was published with date '1829-1844'. See Cowan (1971).
