  Comment: There remains disagreement on whether to recognize Kogiidae Gill 1871 or synonymize it under Physeteridae Gray 1821. Mead (email, 28-Oct-2008) says "I would recognize Kogiidae as a family commensurate with Physeteridae" (although he would also group them in a superfamily-level classification)
