  Comment: Opilioacariformes, Opilioacarida, and Notostigmata have all been used for this taxon, which is variously placed within or next to Parasitiformes. Dr. Zhi-Quang Zhang (pers. comm., June 2024) indicates that acarologists 'now consider Opilioacarida an early derivative order within [superorder] Parasitiformes', rather than in its own superorder (Opilioacariformes)
