 Comments

Comment: Status: CITES - Appendix II; IUCN - Data Deficient
Comments: Perrin et al. (1987) revised this species. The International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (1977a) suppressed D. pernettensis de Blainville [actually Desmarest, see Perrin 2002], 1817 and D. pernettyi Desmarest, 1820, which Hershkovitz (1966a) used as a senior synonym for S. plagiodon
