    Comments: Some specimens previously referred to caudifer may represent luismanueli; see Molinari (1994); also see Cadena et al. (1998). Often spelled 'caudifera' (see Handley, 1984), but the correct spelling is caudifer according to Article 31.2.2 of the Code of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature, 1999)
